So what do you think? Is hypnosis real, or is it a scam? One of the first questions that someone beginning to consider hypnosis may find themselves asking is whether or not hypnosis is real. This is an extremely valid question, and should not be easily dismissed.
The simple answer is that hypno mind control is, in fact, real. However, since the hypnosis industry is not regulated, there are many who may call themselves “hypnotists” and “gurus” out in the world, but who do not possess the higher levels of training standard for true professional hypnotists.
Because of this, many people experience a failed attempt or two with hypnosis and conclude that hypnosis is a scam, or does not work. Sometimes people feel that hypnosis just does not work on them. However, this is untrue. Every single person can be hypnotized if the person performing the hypnosis is skillful and adequately trained.
Research conducted lately into the field of hypnosis has concluded that there are two “suggestibility” types that people fall into – emotional suggestibility and physical suggestibility. Extroverted people are more likely to exhibit emotional suggestibility, while introverted people are more likely to exhibit physical suggestibility.
Hypnosis has progressed a lot in the last thirty years. Hypnosis used to be regarded as a discipline that was only used for entertainment and the treatment of certain psychological ailments. It has more recently become a tactic used to convince people to take a wide variety of actions.
In the past, hypnosis was only employed very directly, and many hypnotists still use hypnosis in this manner. However, only those who are physically suggestible will respond to suggestions made directly. People who are emotionally suggestible will respond to suggestions made indirectly. This capability of hypnosis was not truly tapped into until Dr. Milton Erickson came along.
Erickson came up with strategies to employ hypnosis in discreet settings, and to use it in a way that cooperated with a person instead of working against them. Erickson found success in hypnotizing many of those supposed fifty percent of the population who were convinced they could not be hypnotized. So if someone ever asks you if hypnosis is real or seems to believe that it is not, remember that this may be because of a failed attempt at hypnosis by a hypnotist not aware of the new suggestibility strategies.
For someone to be successfully hypnotized, the hypnotist must first identify the person’s suggestibility type. Once this has been accomplished, inducing hypnosis can be a very simple process.
So, as this article has demonstrated, the answer to many people’s question of whether or not hypnosis is real is an absolute yes. The success of a hypnotist does not depend on the person being hypnotized, but the on the skill of the person conducting the hypnosis.

Hypnosis is real. I don’t believe everyone can be hypnotised. You can train and prepare yourself to not be. A lot of people especially children can. Their have been cases where phsycologist implanted the memories of murders in children to make them confess. They lacked the actual details. My wife was hypnotised on stage and she actually admited she thought she was smoking weed when she wasn’t. t
did this work
